Hearing Held For Suspects Accused Of Killing Rapper XXXTentacion, Jury Selection To Begin

FLORIDA – A hearing was held for the three suspects accused of killing rapper XXXTentacion, according to a report.

A fourth suspect, Robert Allen, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. Allen will now be a witness in the cases of Dedrick Williams, Michael Boatwright and Trayvon Newsome, in exchange for prosecutors giving him a lesser sentence, according to Local10.

During the hearing, Boatwright’s attorney argued to be allowed to question the rapper’s mother and how much money she’s received since XXXTentacion died, reports Local10.

Judge Michael Usan granted the motion, reports the news station.

Attorneys for all three suspects also motioned to have the suspects severed from each other in order to have their own case and not be listed as co-defendants.

The judge denied those requests.

The suspects are accused of ambushing the rapper, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, in front of RIVA Motorsports in Florida on June 18, 2018.

Boatwright is accused of being the one who fatally shot the 20-year-old rapper.

Jury selection for the suspects trial is set to take place on Wednesday.
