Alabama Basketball Star Darius Miles Charged With Capital Murder

ALABAMA- Basketball star Darius Miles was charged with capital murder on Sunday.

Miles, 23, was caught on camera being walked out of the Tuscaloosa County jail in handcuffs, shouting “I swear I love you more than you can imagine” before he was placed in a police car.

The junior reserve forward and Michael Lynn Davis, 20, of Maryland, were both charged with capital murder.

Authorities say the deadly shooting occurred early Sunday when Miles and Davis had a minor altercation with the victim, who they didn’t have a relationship with.

Shots were then fired into the vehicle, killing 23-year-old Jamea Harris.

The driver of the vehicle Harris was in returned fire in self-defense, striking a suspect, who was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a hospital.
