Ex-Playboy Model Kelsey Turner Sentenced To Prison In Beating Death Of Psychiatrist

CALIFORNIA- Former Playboy model Kelsey Turner was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Tuesday after taking a plea deal in the 2019 brutal death of a psychiatrist.

Kelsey, who has appeared in Playboy and Maxim, was sentenced to serve between 10 and 25 years in prison for her role in the death of Dr. Thomas Burchard.

Burchard had a sexual and “transactional” relationship with Turner, according to prosecutors, reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Burchard was murdered and his body was found stuffed in Turner’s car in March of 2019.

Turner had initially taken an Alford plea deal, which is a guilty plea while maintaining innocence to second-degree in November.

Turner directed her boyfriend, Jon Kennison, to attack Burchard when he was visiting the pair in Las Vegas, according to prosecutors, the news outlet reports.

Kennison beat the 71-year-old with a bat before he was stuffed in the trunk of Turner’s Mercedes-Benz, according to KTVN.

Burchard went to Las Vegas to “break-up” with Turner, who he had been financially supporting. He was also supporting her child and was paying her rent.

Kennison was sentenced to 18 to 45 years in prison in July.

The pair’s roommate, Diana Pena, pleaded guilty to accessory to murder.
