FLORIDA- A woman who was allegedly shooting at random cars has been arrested in the death of a mother, police said.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office announced on Friday that 56-year-old Angila Baxter was arrested in the January 12 death of Nekaybaw Collier and has been charged with second-degree murder with a firearm.
Collier was found unresponsive in her car around 7 p.m. on Jan. 12.
Collier was rushed to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. An autopsy revealed that bullets from Baxter’s revolver were found in Collier’s body, according to FOX35 Orlando.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by Fox 35 Orlando, deputies said a man flagged them down, claiming a Black woman in a red SUV shot at him as he was driving on a road.
He said the car was sitting in the middle of the road, near an intersection and that Baxter was shooting at people driving past her and one of the shots hit his car.
It didn’t stop there folks..
Police said another woman came forward and made a report that a woman in a red SUV pulled up next to her car and began shouting expletives at her the same day. She heard “two thumps” on her car before Baxter drove off.
The woman went home and discovered that she had two bullet holes in the front of her car.
Baxter told police that she didn’t remember the day of the shootings but recalled vehicles driving past her. She then told detectives that she pulled her gun out on a woman who was following her and shot in the air.
She then admitted to shooting at several cars that same day.
Baxter was arrested on Thursday and charged.
Collier was a mother and a wife…
