Singer Chris Brown apologized to music producer and pianist Robert Glasper after attacking him on Instagram for winning the 2023 Grammy Award for Best R&B Album for ‘Black Radio III” on Sunday.
Brown went on a rant Sunday on his Instagram Story, posting a screenshot that shows a google search of Glasper and his career.
The screenshot described the 44-year-old as “an American pianist, record producer, songwriter and musical arranger with a career that bridges several different musical and artistic genres.”
“BRO WHO THE F-K THIS?”, the singer wrote for the caption for the photo.
Brown, 33, seeing Glasper’s accolades, which include four previous Grammy wins, continues to ask folks “YA’LL PLAYING (laughing emoji’s) WHO DA F-K IS THIS?” before adding “Ima keep kicking ya’ll ass! Respectfully.”
The singer, seemingly bothered and upset, continued to throw jabs at Glasper, sharing a meme that read “WHO THE F*CK IS ROBERT GLASPER,” before telling his followers that the musician had to “get [his] skills up” saying he needed to “start playing the harmonica.”
Well, on Monday, the singer showed a screenshot, which shows him apologizing to Glasper.
“Congratulations to my brother.. I would like to apologize if you took offense to my reaction at the Grammys, Brown wrote, adding that he recognized that he came off “rude and mean.”
He ended the apology by writing “So from one black man to another… CONGRATULAIONS. HOPE YOU ARE ABLE TO FEED YOUR FAMILY FOR LIFE. God bless my G.”
Glasper seemed to not have read it.
Brown is most likely upset because he’s been nominated 20 times by The Grammys, but has only taken one award home, which was for his 2012 R&B album “F.A.M.E.”
