Shelley Malil best known for his role in the movie “40 Year old virgin” was granted parole on Tuesday by a Board of Parole commissioners after spending 8 years in prison for stabbing his girlfriend 23 times.
53 year old Malil was convicted of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon after he went on a jealous rage in 2008 against his then girlfriend Kendra Beebe where he stabbed her 23 times in their backyard of her home in California.
According to the Union Tribune, Malil admitted that a mixture of alcohol and jealousy fueled him into attacking her. Bebee thankfully survived this horrific attack and even spoke at Malil’s parole hearing on Tuesday via a video conference. Bebee said that she’s “still living in fear”.
