Man Accused Of Killing Rapper BTB Savage Arrested

HOUSTON- A man sought in the fatal shooting of rapper BTB Savage was arrested, police said.

Montrel Lenard Burley, 40, is accused of killing the rapper because he was in the same gang as a man that the rapper shot and killed in an alleged robbery.

One other man was charged in the death of the rapper. Police said they tracked the suspects down through a rented 2020 Subaru Outback.

BTB Savage, whose real name is Darrell Gentry, was allegedly shot and killed by the two men on March 30 in a parking lot.

The men shot him multiple times in a black SUV before fleeing the scene.

The rapper was on VLAD-TV and spoke on how he and his girlfriend fought a would-be robber.

BTB’s mother told ABC13 that she warned her son to stop speaking on the attempted robbery on social media.
