LOS ANGELES- Tory Lanez’s attorney claims to have new information on DNA in the case that possibly help the singer.
The Canadian rapper posted an Instagram story on Tuesday, which shows his attorney Jose Baez acknowledging National DNA Day by telling his followers that his client will be revealing unknown information about the DNA that was presented during his trial.
“Today is National DNA DAY and we are happy to announce that Tory Lanez will be releasing information about the DDNA in his case that gave false & misleading information to his jury. #freetorylanez
The new information about the evidence will reportedly prove that the jury was presented “false and misleading information”, which convinced them to convict Tory on all three felony charges.
Lanez was convicted in December, but he has not been sentenced due to changes in his legal team and a request for a new trial.
His next court date is on May 8 where a judge will hear the defense’s motion for a new trial.
