OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA- The city of Oakland will be renaming a street to honor the late rapper Tupac Shakur.
The street, located on the stretch of MacArthur Boulevard by Lake Merritt, where the rapper lived will now be called “Tupac Shakur Way”, according to KTLA.
Shakur, whose name was Lesane Parish Crooks, was born in Harlem in 1971 and then relocated to Oakland in 1988 with his mother.
