Boxer Gervonta Davis has spoken out from behind bars after being ordered to finish his 90-day sentence in jail for violating the terms of his arrest.
Davis, 28, was taken into custody on Thursday just a month after he was sentenced to 90 days of house arrest for a hit-and-run incident stemming from November, reports The Baltimore Banner.
In a jail recording posted on Instagram, the boxer says “I just want to let the people know that this judge is crazy. I did everything in my power to listen to my lawyers,” he said.
Davis continued to say that he feels the judge is taking advantage of his situation. ‘She’s mad that I brought a property, that’s why I’m sitting in jail.”
