LOS ANGELES- Prosecutors are requesting that Tory Lanez serve 13 years in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion and for repeatedly allegedly harassing her.
Lawyers from the County District Office made the request this week, accusing the singer and rapper of sending millions of his fans and other celebrities to harass Megan on social media after he shot her, according to Insider.
The memo says “Lanez spent nearly three years “waging a campaign of misinformation to retraumatize the victim.”
Last December, a jury found that Lanez, whose legal name is Daystar Peterson, guilty of shooting 5 rounds at rapper Megan Thee Stallion in 2020 after he was kicked out of a party at Kylie Jenner’s house.
He was convicted of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, discharge of a firearm with gross negligence, and possession of a concealed, unregistered gun in a vehicle.
He’s facing 22 years and 8 months in prison.
Tory will appear back in court on June 13 for his sentencing hearing.
