Rapper YFN Lucci Rejects Plea Deal In RICO Case, Will Go To Trial

FULTON COUNTY, GA- Rapper YFN Lucci has rejected a plea deal, according to a report.

Lucci’s attorney said the plea deal is “absurd” and stated that his client has been behind bars for two and a half years awaiting his trial.

The Fulton County D.A. has recommended a 20-year-sentence, 17 to be served in prison and in exchange, Lucci will have to plead guilty to multiple charges with include felony murder, racketeering, aggravated assault and other charges, TMZ reports.

Lucci turned himself over to authorities in 2021 in Atlanta, after he was wanted on multiple charges in the shooting death of James Adams, 22, on Dec. 10.

Adams was found dead with a gunshot to his head, after police responded to a report of a shooting.

A short time later, Kevin Wright, 32, showed up at a fire station with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was treated for his injuries and survived, according to WFVX.

Police discovered both shootings were linked.

YFN Lucci, whose real name is Rayshawn Bennett, was among a dozen suspects indicted in a 75 page, 105 count racketeering indictment.

The indictment claims that Lucci is an alleged Blood’s gang member, with allegations against him that include tampering with evidence of a homicide by concealing a crime scene and vehicle by hiding it, assaulting someone by strangulation and encouraging others to kick and strike that person for playing the music of his rivals.
