HOLLYWOOD- A nightclub bouncer was beaten to death early Sunday by a mob of mad patrons where rapper Tee Grizzley was set to perform at.
Officers arrived at the Dragonfly nightclub in Hollywood around 2 a.m. to respond to reports of 10 people attacking a man, according to Deadline.
“The victim was working at this nightclub, and a large group –for unknown reasons- confronted the security guard, causing him to fall into the street,” said LAPD West Bureau Homicide Division Detective Samuel Marullo.
He added “At which time the group advanced and kicked and stomped him to death.
It’s unclear if the fight began inside of the club or outside and there is no clear motive.
The bouncer was only identified as a male in his 30’s.
The nightclub was open for their Signature Saturdays event, with Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley set to headline.
It’s unclear if Grizzley was present during the attack.
