NYC Dealer Who Sold Heroin That Killed ‘The Wire’ Actor Michael K. Wiliams Sentenced

NYC- The Brooklyn drug dealer who sold fentanyl-laced heroin that killed “The Wire” actor Michael K. Williams was sentenced to 10 years in prison Friday.

Irvin Cartagena, 40, a.k.a. “Green Eyes”, was seen on surveillance footage selling the drugs to Williams the day before he overdosed and died on Sept. 6, 2021.

Cartagena pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute heroin, fentanyl, and fentanyl analogue (another form of synthetic opioid) in April, the US Attorney’s office said.

A judge handed down Cartagena his sentence and five years of supervised release.

Four other men in Cartagena’s crew pleaded guilty in connection to Williams’ death.

The actor was found dead inside of his luxury Williamsbridge penthouse.
