MILWAUKEE- Police have announced they’ve arrested two people responsible for beating a 5-year-old to death.
David E. Pietura, 27, and Erik Mendoza, 15, into custody after the body of Prince McCree was found stashed inside of a dumpster about a mile from his house, according to local reports.
The boy’s mother reported him missing around 6 p.m. on Oct. 25.
Prince wasn’t found until the next day. His death was ruled a homicide.
Mendoza and Pietura both live in separate areas of the same home that Prince and Mendoza’s family live, but it’s unclear if their related to Prince. The boy’s mother said she had kept him home from school due to a sore throat.
She last saw him around 9 p.m. when he went downstairs to play video games.
Both men admitted to killing the boy.
Pietura allegedly admitted to walking in on Mendoza choking the 5-year-old in the basement and didn’t intervene. The pair them gagged and bounded the boy, put him into garbage bags and took turns beating him, first with gold clubs, then with a barbell and a concrete pedestal, according to an arrest warrant.
Both were charged with intentional homicide, physical abuse of a child causing death and hiding a corpse.
