Bail Hearing For Tupac’s Murder Suspect Delayed, Here’s Why

LAS VEGAS – A bail hearing for Tupac’s murder suspect has been pushed back for a week.

Duane “Keffe D” Davis was scheduled to appear for a hearing on Tuesday, Jan. 2 on his motion to either be released on his own recognizance or to have up to $100,000 bail.

But that’s not going to happen as the hearing was delayed until Jan. 9.

Davis, 60, has been held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center without bail since he was arrested in Sept.

His attorneys wrote in their motion that he poses no danger to the community and will not flee to avoid trial. They also added that his incarceration has affected his health (which didn’t seem to an be issue before his arrest).

Prosecutors have countered that Davis admitted to being involved in the rapper’s killing and that a list of witnesses were given to Davis’s family members, and his son told him during a jail call that a “green light” order had been given.

There was no reason for the re-scheduled hearing, but the defense told The Associated Press they would like to respond in writing to the allegations brought by prosecutors.
