A$AP Rocky To Face Trial After Pleading Not Guilty To Gun Charges

LOS ANGELES – Rapper A$AP Rocky has pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm and will be heading to trial.

The Harlem rapper, whose real name is Rakim Myers, allegedly pointed a semi-automatic at his former friend and fellow A$AP Mob member A$AP Relli during an argument outside of a hotel in 2021 in Los Angeles.

The rapper stood in front of Judge Karla Kerlin, pleading not guilty. She then set the next pre-trial date for March 6. A trial must take place 45 days from after that date, according to Evening Standard.

The decision comes after Superior Court Judge ML Villar ruled in November that there’s sufficient evidence for the rapper to stand trial.
