Demi Lovato’s younger sister, 16 year old Madison De La Garza is giving us an update on her sister’s rehabilitation and more.
Madison stopped by a Youtube show titled “Millennial Hollywood” where she opened up about her older sister’s overdose that nearly took her life.
Madison, who was promoting her new film, told the host of the show that Demi is “doing really well” and “is working really hard on her sobriety”.
She also mentioned their mother’s book Falling With Wings: A Mother’s Story, where her mother opened up about her own struggle with addiction. Dianna De La Garza says she was once addicted to alcohol and prescription pills.
Studies do show that addiction is passed down through genetics.
Madison says she looks forward to eating at Fro-Yo with Demi when she comes home from her rehabilitation center.
