Suge Knight sentenced to 28 years in prison for killing man in hit and run

Marion “Suge” Knight, who is the Co-founder of Death Row Records has been sentenced to 28 years in prison for a deadly hit and run.

The 53 year old former rap mogul was sentenced on Thursday after pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter last month.

Knight ran Terry Carter over with his car and injured another man in Compton, California, claiming he did it in self defense because he thought he was being ambushed back in 2015.

Suge Knight also claimed that he was “legally blind”.

Carters family was present in the courtroom and according to The New York Daily news, his daughter Crystal Carter said “he murdered my father in cold blood and is a menace to society.”
