Mike “The situation” Sorrentino was sentenced to 8 months on Friday in prison for tax evasion and must serve 500 hours of community service.
He must also pay a fine of $10,000 within 30 days, as ordered by the New Jersey court.
Both Mike and his brother Marc were initially indicted back in 2014 for tax offenses and conspiring to defraud the United States after failing to pay taxes on almost $9 million dollars in income from 2010 to 2012.
Mike’s brother, Marc Sorrentino, was sentenced on Friday to 2 years in prison and a fine of $75,000.
Cameras were reportedly rolling as the reality star’s Jersey Shore was there.
