Teen Employee Shot At McDonald’s Drive-Thru Over Order

TENN – A 17-year-old McDonald’s worker was shot while working at a drive-thru Saturday morning.

Officers were called to a McDonald’s located in the 3300 block of Dickerson Pike just before 4:30 a.m. Saturday for reports of a shooting involving an employee.

A red or maroon sedan was going through the drive-thru with two females in the front and two males in the back.

The occupants in the car were upset about their order and began arguing with staff, claiming a drive-thru employee in the first window had charged them the wrong amount to the employee at the second window.

As staff was trying to resolve the issue, an occupant in the backseat pulled out a pistol, but the teen employee pulled out his own pistol and both fired at each other.

The employee was taken to a hospital and placed in critical condition.

There have no arrests made.
