Nicki Minaj and her husband have been ordered to pay $500,000 to a former security guard who worked at one of the rapper’s concerts, according to a report.
According to Rolling Stone, the rapper’s husband, Kenneth Petty, allegedly assaulted a former venue staffer, identified as Thomas Weidenmuller, who worked at one of Nicki’s concerts in 2019. Weidenmuller alleges that Petty broke his jaw backstage at a show in Frankfurt, Germany.
In the lawsuit, Weidenmuller claimed that Petty attacked him from behind, punching him several times because he was defending a female co-worker.
Weidenmuller also claimed that Nicki allegedly attempted to throw a shoe at him, but she missed.
Weidenmuller was seeking $721,000 in restitution, ($21,000 for medical bills and $700,000 for ongoing injury and emotional pain and suffering), however the presiding judge decided on $503,318.
The default judgement was due to Minaj and Petty not responding to the suit.
The alleged incident stemmed from a fan breaching the stage as Nicki Minaj was performing.
