THE BRONX – A man wanted by police for raping a woman has been arrested.
Kahaan Parks, 39, who has priors, was arrested on Friday after he was identified by police in connection to the May 1 attack near 152nd Street and Third Avenue, according to police.
Parks, who was covering his face with a towel is allegedly seen on camera walking behind the 45-year-old woman and looping a belt around her neck, dragging her several feet in between two parked cars where he raped her.
Authorities said the victim knows Park from the neighborhood and was able to identify him.
Parks may have raped the victim after a promise of sex for money went wrong.
The victim never reported the rape.
Video of Parks arrest has gone viral. In the video, two NYPD officers can be seen shielding the suspect from an angry mob in the Bronx.
