ATLANTA – Three people were shot at rapper Lil Baby’s music video shoot Tuesday evening.
Atlanta police said officers responded to shots fired near a commercial strip in northwest Atlanta.
Two men were rushed to a nearby hospital: a 27-year-old man who was shot in the back and a 24-year-old man who was shot in the arm, according to police.
In a statement posted on their website, Atlanta Police said:
“Both of the males were alert, conscious, and breathing, and were transported to the hospital for treatment.”
Officers also found a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his neck. He had been self-transported to the hospital. Police said he was also “alert, conscious, and breathing and was being attended to by medical personnel.”
‘Preliminary investigation indicates that the incident occurred during a video shoot. Investigators with the Aggravated Assault Unit responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident,” APD said. ‘At this time, the investigation is ongoing.”
The men who were shot were not part of the music video, according to witnesses.
Lil Baby has not commented.
