FLORIDA – Rapper Julio Foolio was shot and killed on his 26th birthday.
The rapper, whose real name is Charles Andrew Jones II, was fatally shot early Sunday morning, his attorney Lewis Fusco confirmed.
Foolio was killed celebrating his 26th birthday when he was fatally shot at a Tampa hotel.
The Tampa Police Department said it received a 911 call about a report of a shooting at 110606 McKinley Drive at approximately 4:40 a.m.
Authorities said two vehicles had been shot at in a parking lot of the hotel. Four people were injured in the shooting, with one being pronounced dead (Foolio). The other three victims were treated at a local hospital.
It’s unclear what led to the shooting.
Julio had posted stories of him at an Airbnb in Tampa, saying he was having a pool party and gave his email out for those interested in attending.
There is an ongoing investigation.
