DETROIT, Michigan: The family of a 5 year old who was shot and killed is pleading for answers, two months after her death.
According to Fox2 Detroit, police in Detroit say that on Sept 14th, around 10 p.m., a black man dressed in dark clothing came into Dejiza Coleman’s home through the front door and walked into her bedroom where she was sleeping with her younger daughter.
That’s when Coleman said she heard 14 shots in total.
Not only was was Izabella killed but the Coleman was also shot.
Police say they have a person of interest who is cooperating, but that there was more than one person who fired those 14 gunshots that night.
The family is begging anyone with just one tip to please contact authorities.
“It’s hard because how do you explain to a 3-year-old that they don’t have a sister anymore,” said Dejiza.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward to find the man who shot and killed Izabella Coleman and injured her mother. The shooting took place on Sept 14th on Lyndon near Evergreen on the West side.
