Five teenagers were indicted on Monday in Manassas, Virginia for the August murder of a 24 year old man.
According to the Manassas police, they responded to a report of a shooting at 2:03 a.m. on August 30th. Police say they found bullet holes in the front door of a home. Once inside the home, police officers found Reynaldo Eliazar Araujo dead with gunshot wounds.
Police arrested 5 teenagers in total for what police say was the lynching murder of Araujo.
- Terrance Tyrese Martin, 18, of Manassas. Charges: Conspiracy to commit armed robbery, lynching, wearing a mask in public, attempted armed robbery
- Seni Jimenez Blanco, 19, of Manassas Park. Charges: Conspiracy to commit armed robbery, lynching, wearing a mask in public, attempted armed robbery;
- Ebelin Jojana Lopez, 19, of Manassas. Charges: Conspiracy to commit armed robbery, lynching, wearing a mask in public, attempted armed robbery;
- 17-year-old male juvenile. Charges: Armed robbery, murder, lynching, wearing a mask in public, conspiracy to commit armed robbery;
- 17-year-old male juvenile. Charges: Conspiracy to commit armed robbery, lynching, wearing a mask in public, attempted armed robbery.
All five teenagers were indicted for lynching, because the Virginia Code has defined “any act of violence by a mob upon the body of any person, which shall result in the death of such person.”
