Miss Elliot will be the first female Hip Hop artist to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame.
CBS revealed six of the artists from the class of 2019 and one of them was Missy Elliot. This also makes her the the third rapper to be inducted. The Grammy winning artist has written songs for Mary.Blige, Beyonce, Janet Jackson and more.
Missy took to her Instagram to tell her fans “I AM SO HUMBLY GRATEFUL & crying tears of Joy to now be inducted also thank you God🙏🏾.

The other artist that will be inducted will be songwriters John Prime, Tom T.Hall, Dallas Austin, Yusuf Islam and Jack Tempchin.
