Boxer Floyd Mayweather continues to stand by Gucci, despite many in the Black/African American community boycotting the clothing line for making a sweater some say resembles “Blackface.”
The boxer took to his Instagram to explain why he supports Gucci. Floyd wrote that the same people who are boycotting Gucci, are the same people who boycotted NFL, but still watched the Superbowl.
He also brought up those in the Hip-Hop community, saying “the same celebrities stirring the pot over brands that they, without doubt, will continually buy, are the same artist that will inject rap lyric fueled with drugs, murder and sexual promiscuity into the Black communities your pretending so much to care about.”
