21 Savage knew he wasn’t from Atlanta, but stood shut in fear of getting deported (Full Interview)

21 Savage sat down with ABC News, no more than 24 hours since being released from ICE custody and spoke about his entire experience.

The rapper, whose real name is Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, admitted that he was in fact born in Britain, coming to America with his mother and brothers. He told ABC that he knew he wasn’t from America, and he wasn’t hiding it but he didn’t want to get deported so he wasn’t going to say “Hey, by the way, I wasn’t born here world.”

He talked about being in one room for nine days, expressing that he feels the pain of others who were in the ICE detention center, and says he’ll do what he can in his power to bring awareness to their pain.

21 Savage was released on bond, and most people who are detained by ICE are not given that opportunity.

I spoke about his mother playing a huge role in this, on my podcast, “The Black Room” and on my Youtube channel, Blackroommedia. I feel as the mother, does she somehow feel accountable? Since he was brought here when he was a child…

  1. What you said made a lot of sense. But, what about
this? what if you were to write a killer title? I ain’t saying your information isn’t
good., however suppose you added something that grabbed
people’s attention? I mean 21 Savage knew he wasn’t from Atlanta, but stood shut in fear of
getting deported (Full Interview) – Blackroommedia.com is kinda vanilla.
You might look at Yahoo’s front page and see how they write article
headlines to grab people to open the links. You
might add a video or a related pic or two to grab people interested about
everything’ve got to say. In my opinion, it would bring your posts a little livelier.
