Texas- A 14-year-old girl has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for stabbing her best friend to death.
A jury sentenced the teenager on Thursday to serve 25 years in prison. She was 13 when she murdered her best friend last May, during an argument. The girl, whose name can’t be given out to the public due to her being a minor, stabbed her best friend, 14-year-old Nylah Lightfoot in the neck and chest.
Lightfoot was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
According to The Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the two girls were like “sisters”, but were fighting, when the 13-year-old grabbed a knife, pushed another friend to the side, who tried to stop her and stabbed Lightfoot.
