According to CNN, who have spoken with two sources with knowledge of the Jussie Smollett case, Chicago police believe that ‘Empire’ actor may set his own alleged attack up by paying the two brothers who were arrested and released from police custody yesterday.

Even though the brothers were never arrested, Chicago police have found new evidence that points to an orchestrated attack and say that they are fully cooperating with them.

According to the sources, police also have evidence that the rope seen around Smoletts neck on surveillance footage from an elevator, was purchased by the brothers at an the Crafty Beaver hardware store on Jan. 25.

Yikes.

Smollett says that  he was allegedly attacked by two males, who were white, in his original report, that wore MAGA hats, yelled homophobic slurs and even called him a n*****.

Police say that if he is lying, charges will be pressed against him. As far as the two brothers, with one having worked on the show, it’s not clear if they will be charged.
