Student faces charges for allegedly making an app to sell drugs

SANTA CRUZ, California- A student is facing federal charges for allegedly creating an app that was disguised as a game to sell drugs.

18-year-old suspect Colin Howard named the app “Banana plug” and it was available on the Apple store. He even made flyers and advertised the game all over campus.

Homeland Security says that Howard was allegedly selling, “Molly’s”, Cocaine and “Shrooms” on the app.

An undercover sting put an end to Howards app.

He was charged with four counts of distribution, and possession with intent to distribute cocaine and methamphetamine,
