The “Momo Challenge” is back and parents need to be very aware of its comeback.
The challenge that tells kids to kill themselves first surfaced in 2017. The challenge asks whoever the user is to add and contact someone named “Momo.” It’s then that “they” send the user images that are frightening and violent, encouraging them to commit suicide.
This challenge is using a scary image of what appears to be a warped image of a girl, but it’s actually a Japanese doll created by artist Midori Hayashi, who has nothing to do the challenge.
The challenge is popping up in the Whatsapp, Fortnite videos, Peppa Pig and Youtube.
Please keep track of what your children are watching on Youtube and look at their search history to see if they’ve come across videos about this horrible challenge that may already taken the life of a 13-year-old girl in Argentina. If police confirm that her death was a result of this sick challenge, she would be the first victim.
