An anonymous person paid off singer R.Kelly’s back child support that was due in court on Wednesday.
The Cook County Sheriff’s office said that somebody who doesn’t want to be identified, came into the jail Cook County clerk’s office and handed over a check for $161,000. There is a bond slip where the person leaving money for an inmate must write their name and relationship to them, but that part was left empty..
A judge ordered Kelly to be jailed on Wednesday after he couldn’t come up with the $161,000 that was due in court.
When he was arrested two weeks on 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse charges, he was bonded out by a female friend who paid $150, 000 to have him free. The 47-year-old woman, who’s a business owner in Chicago says that Kelly is innocent and believes that are far more worse things going on in Chicago..
