Business manager Kevin Foster, who managed R&B stars like Ne-Yo and Brian McKnight has been sentenced to prison in Ohio.
Foster was sentenced to serve seven years in prison for scheming Brian and Ne-Yo, whose real name is Shaffer Smith out of their money.
Prosecutors say that Foster had convinced both singers to invest money into a water company called OXYWater and he also stole their money. Ne-Yo invested $2 million and Foster took upon himself to invest another $1.5 million without his permission.
He took Brian’s money as well from his account without consent.
Prosecutors say that Foster used the money on tickets to the Superbowl, Knicks games, jewelry and more.
Foster was convicted in 2018 on 16 counts of money laundering, fraud and tax charges.
