DEKALB COUNTY, GA- Authorities say that they’re currently working with leads in the killing of Clifford Dixon.
According to WSBTV, who’s spoken the lead detective on this case, there are new leads and they’re working around the clock to find the suspect.
So far, what they do know is that a man walked up to 32-year-old Dixon as he was standing outside of the SL Lounge in Chamblee, the night he was celebrating his birthday.
The male suspect fired several shots at Dixon’s neck. The suspect then fled the scene. Dixon later died from those wounds.
Detectives say that they’ve been working throughout the southeast.
Dixon’s mother Cheryl Williams told a WSB-TV reporter “He wanted everybody to do well. He never wished anybody any harm,” Williams said. “They don’t know what they took from my family. They don’t know.”
Dixon played basketball, and was Kevin Durant’s close friend. His was an upcoming rapper.
He’s also known for dating reality star Erica Mena from “Love & Hip-Hop.”
