Instagram will began taking away like counts beginning next week

Instagram announced that it will be taking away like counts beginning next week.

Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri sat down with WIRED25 and announced that the photo sharing app which is owned by Facebook is going to start hiding likes in America beginning next week.

Now, Instagram users will be able to see their likes, but it will not be visible to other’s..

Instagram began their experiment with hiding like counts in Canada back in May, then in July, they began doing it in other countries.

Here is Instagram’s CEO Adam Mosseri talking about the experiment starting in the U.S. next week.

A lot of Influencers, including bloggers like myself with real followers are not so happy with this new experiment, and not knowing if it’ll stay like this is stressful.

Sucks for these other entertainment sites, bloggers and “Instagram models” who pay for their followers and likes. (Of course some music artist too).

Funny how Kanye West said he wanted to speak to Instagram about taking away likes earlier this year…
