Gayle King is receiving A LOT of heat for a clip that NBC played, showing her asking Leslie Jones about Kobe Bryant’s sexual assault case in an upcoming interview.
She has responded to the backlash, and is putting the blame on NBC.

King asked Jones if she thought Kobe Bryant’s legacy is “complicated” because of his 2003 sexual assault charge in the ‘CBS This Morning’ clip of the upcoming interview.
Jones replied that Bryant was not the “kind of person that would do something to violate a woman or be aggressive in that way,” adding “That’s just not the person that I know.”
The Hip Hop community is also getting at Gayle, because they believe her, along with Oprah, are giving people like Weinstein a break, but not African Americans.
