Willow Smith will be spending 24 hours trapped in a box as she performs to portray the stages of anxiety.
According to Willow, who spoke with the Los Angeles Times, she says she wants to bring awareness to anxiety, because she’s suffered with it her whole life.
Willow said in her interview “This is for awareness. The first thing we’re going to be writing on our title wall is something along the lines of: ‘The acceptance of one’s fears is the first step toward understanding, so then you know this is on something real. This is for a real cause.”
She’s also promoting her upcoming album.
The 24 hours will be split in eight stages of anxiety: paranoia, rage, numbness, euphoria, strong interest, compassion and acceptance. Each stage will take up 3 hours.
The event will take place today at the Museum Of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. The event will begin at 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
