NEW YORK CITY- According to City Hall, the number of people infected with the Coronavirus jumped to 7,530 cases on Saturday.
That means that from Friday to Saturday, there was a huge leap of 1,847 cases overnight.
At least 45 people have died in the five boroughs from the Coronavirus. 12 people died on Friday alone. The numbers came in as 1 death per hour, which is just insane.
NY state figures show that 19,463 tests have been done in the city, including 5,077 on Friday.
Queens is being hit the hardest, with 2,077 cases. There are currently 1,791 cases in Manhattan, 2,275 in Brooklyn, 1,005 cases in The Bronx and Staten Island has 375 cases.
New York is being hit the hardest, since we are the largest city in the world. The city now holds 38% out of the 19,931 cases in the nation.
New York City is on lock down. Barbershops are closed down, nail salons, strip clubs, hair salons and tattoos shops. Liquor stores are open, but the state has given them permission to deliver, as well as restaurants and fast food joints.
People must stay 6 ft away from each other, but some, especially young adults, aren’t taking social distancing seriously.
