Man sentenced to jail for spitting on police officer after claiming he had Coronavirus

Nottinghamshire -According to The New York Post, a man has been sentenced to jail for spitting on a police officer’s after claiming he had the Coronavirus.

Paul Leivers, 48, was sentenced on Saturday to a year in jail after pleading guilty to two counts of assault on an emergency worker, two days after being arrested.

The judge told Leivers “Emergency workers have a difficult job at the best of time, even more so at the minute” adding “court will not flinch to protect officers.”

Leivers did NOT have the Coronavirus..
