NEW JERSEY- A teen girl died a day after being released from the Hospital despite her allegedly not well enough to leave.
According to NJ.com, Stephanie Jacques, 17, was walking down a street on her way home when she was shot her thigh.
Jacques was taken to a nearby Hospital, where she was treated and told to go home despite her family saying she told them that she was feeling lightheaded.
The following day, which was the day before her birthday, Jacques collapsed in her mothers arms and died..
An 18-year-old male was also shot in the drive-by. He was walking on the same street and may have been the intended target, but he didn’t know Jacques.
On Wednesday, prosecutors announced that Shaquan Rush and Darby Shirden, both 20, have been charged with murder, attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
