GEORGIA- A 5-year-old boy killed his brother after thinking the gun he found was fake.
According to the Griffin Police Department’s Facebook page, they responded to a call last Saturday, and they say once inside the home, they found a 12-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his chest. EMS performed CPR and he was treated until he was later pronounced dead at the Hospital.
Police say that the victim’s 5-year-old brother told them that he had found the gun in a wooded area that day, and thought it was a toy.
The area was searched by investigators who say that they also found a bag of MDMA, but nothing else.
Investigators are now searching for the suspect or suspects that abandoned the gun.
