ORANGE COUNTY- 3 people have been arrested in connection to the death of a disabled family member.
Police say that on April 7th, 55-year-old Nellie Ambert called them and told them that her disabled niece was missing.
Police found the body of 27-year-old Gladys Ambert in a field by a college.
Gladys had numerous marks to her wrists, belly, ankles and other places.
Gladys’ lived with her grandmother, until she died in July of 2019, and then her aunt, Nellie Ambert took her in, along with a $700 disability check every month.
Police say that Gladys, who couldn’t speak, was deaf and had cerebral palsy, was tortured everyday of life as she was tied up and forced to urinate and defecate on herself.
Nellie Ambert, was charged with murder, along with other charges. Her daughter, Jasmine Ambert, 32, was charged with abuse and neglect of a disabled person. The son, Christian Matias, 18, was charged with tampering with evidence.
