OHIO- Police have arrested William Slaton, 35, on June 30th after they received a call about a woman’s body inside of barrel at his residence.
According to WHIO, when police arrived at the residence, Slaton ran inside of his home, escaping though the backyard, and was caught throwing a barrel with a woman’s body inside over a fence.
The body was identified as 21-year-old Cecily Cornett.
Slaton told police that he found Cornett hanging in his home, dead, after they had taken drugs. Her body remained inside of the barrel for days before being discovered.
Slaton proceeded to tell police that Cornett’s cut her fingers off, and used a razor to cut out her tattoos.Investigators later found Cornett’s finger tips inside of Slaton’s home, and some of her skin.
Slaton has been charged with abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and failure to report a crime or death, according to the Enquirer.
