A$AP Rocky Charged With Felony Assault With A Firearm In Hollywood Shooting

LOS ANGELES- The Los Angeles District attorney charged A$AP Rocky with assault with a firearm in connection to a shooting in November, involving his friend in Hollywood.

A$AP, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, faces two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm with allegations of personally using a firearm.

He’s expected to be arraigned on Wednesday in downtown L.A. court, according to local reports.

The Harlem rapper allegedly shot his former friend, and fellow A$AP Mob rapper Terell Ephron, whose goes by A$AP Relli. Ephron came forward as the alleged victim and is suing A$AP Rocky.

A lawsuit claims Rocky and Relli met up to resolve beef they had, but after a verbal disagreement, Rocky allegedly “pulled out a handgun and purposefully pointed in the direction of [Ephron] and fired multiple shots.”
The suit also claims Ephron was “struck by bullet projectile/fragments” and required medical attention, according to the lawsuit, which said a large portion of the incident was captured on video.”
Police found multiple firearms at Rocky’s house during a search warrant.

Los Angeles police found multiple firearms at Mayers’ home while serving a search warrant following his arrest in connection with the shooting.
