Carter, 34, who died in November, wasn’t included in the Academy’s annual ceremony that included tribute to Lisa Marie Presley, Coolio, David Crosby, Olvia Newton-John, Quavo and many more.
Carter never won, or was nominated for a Grammy Award, but the singer, who began his career as a rapper and singer at the age of 9 in 1997, opened up for the Backstreet Boys, and performed as an opening act for Britney Spears.
As he got older, he continued to make music.
