Affidavit Reveals Takeoff Was Killed After A Punch Was Thrown in Defense Of Quavo During Dice Game He Lost

HOUSTON- Rapper Takeoff was killed after his uncle and fellow Migos rapper Quavo lost a dice game and got into an argument with two men at a Houston bowling alley before Quavo’s friend punched one of the men, according to an affidavit obtained by New York Times reporter Joe Coscarelli.

According to the document, Quavo was playing a dice game outside of the Houston’s 810 Billiards and Bowling Alley in Houston. An argument allegedly ensued between Quavo and Michael Prince, after the rapper allegedly lost a large sum of money to two other men.

A man identified as Willie Bland allegedly punched another man in defense of Quavo, after he allegedly saw the man pull a gun out, according to the affidavit, this was captured by video surveillance footage.

After Bland allegedly threw the punch, two people exchanged gunfire. One of those men has been confirmed to be Bland. The affidavit states that due to Bland’s location at the time of the shooting, he’s not deemed responsible for Takeoff’s death.

Two men have been charged in the death of Takeoff.

Patrick Clark, 33, was charged with murder, and Cameron Joshua, 22, was charged with felony possession of a weapon.
