Alabama Woman Who Was “Abducted” Fired From Spa Job, Searched For Bus Tickets The Same Day, Police

ALABAMA- A woman who claimed she was abducted after calling 911 about a toddler walking along an interstate has been fired from her job.

Yikes..

The owner of the Woodhouse Spa has fired Carlee Russell, saying her co-workers are “pissed” about her suspicious abduction story, according to The Post.

The spa owner says the business have been slammed with nasty social media comments to the point where she had to disable comments on Instagram, The Post reports.

25-year-old Carlethia “Carlee” Nichole Russell called 911 on Thursday around 9:34 p.m. to report a toddler she saw walking along on the side of Interstate 459 South near Birmingham, according to the Hoover Police Department.

When officers arrived at the scene, Russell’s car and some of her belongings were found near-by, but police didn’t find her or the toddler she called 911 about.

She appeared two days later at her home, claiming a man had abducted her.

Authorities are now saying Russell’s story isn’t adding up. They say Russell searched for movies about kidnapping and searched for bus ticket prices the day of her “abduction,” which draws more skepticism over account of what happened.

Police have made no arrests.
